In today’s board meeting, the Bank will take stock of vacancies of its Independent directors, Managing Director and CEO. The private sector lender will also review the search committee’s progress in the selection of candidates for the post of MD and CEO. The board meeting will also look at resolving the mutual differences between the promoters – Rana Kapoor and Madhu Kapur.The RBI will infuse Rs 10,000 cr liquidity into the market through open market operations. Last week, the central bank had infused Rs 10,000 cr to increase liquidity following the IL&FS crisis. It also plans to infuse Rs 40,000 cr more during December. RBI resorts to purchase of bonds to inject liquidity in the market.After a thumping victory in the Assembly Elections, Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhar Rao will take oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana today for the second term. The party had bagged 88 out 119 seats. KCR had dissolved the Assembly on September 6 nine months ahead of the end of its tenure and an early election was held on December 7.NCLT will hear the Essar Steel case today. The two-member Ahmedabad bench had on December 10 heard the pleas filed by Essar Steel’s CoC, Resolution Professional and ArcelorMittal on the maintainability of the application filed by the company’s shareholders. The shareholders have submitted a proposal for settlement of the entire debt for an amount of around Rs 54,389 crore.The BJP Parliamentary party meeting is set to be held today headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah. Modi will hold a seven-hour meeting with the party’s key organisational leaders. The meeting comes in the backdrop of the five-states Assembly poll results where the party lost power to Congress in all the three States – Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
